Natalie of Olivenhain Farms & Karen of Wyldflower Wellness bring you a two hour mother-daughter campfire experience created to build confidence, social skills and camaraderie between girls, inspired by their own daughters. Our inspiration.... Women used to circle around fires centuries ago and celebrate each other. These days it seems girls don't yet know the importance of celebrating each other's differences and lifting each other up. Instead we often compare ourselves to others, even tear each other down. We can lose confidence about our own uniqueness along the way. With everything online - it's a scary time. We want to circle up OFFLINE and gather our tween girls at this tough and impressionable stage of life with the goal that we see ourselves in each other, celebrate our differences and learn new life skills along the way. If we can establish more of a collective sisterhood at an early age where we celebrate, support each other, and love ourselves for exactly who we are - the world will change in a positive way. In addition to our girls, mothers need the support of the community to help lift our daughters up - and lift each other up. The ever important... we are not alone. This gathering is a start. What to expect: One hour of mother-daughter social time creating art and petting animals, a wonderful ice breaker. The second hour will include separate circles, girls with girls and moms with moms, as well as time sharing together. We'll close with 15 minutes together around the fire, releasing what we want to let go of into the flames before leaving. Inside the girl's circle, Natalie will lead the group as we discuss what it's like to be a girl these days with thoughtful questions like what makes you unique? What do you love about yourself, what don't you love? What makes a good friend? It will take courage to share these things out loud. We think they'll be surprised how similar they really are. For the moms, we'll enjoy botanical mocktails and Karen will help facilitate a discussion where we share our stories of the beauty and challenges of parenting these girls and how together we can help them thrive and grow. At these special Campfire Sessions we're creating the future we want to see together, one girl and one mom at a time and we hope you join us!
