Living History Day

Experience History Using Your Five Senses


Service Description

First Pop-up Date: March 9th 11am-2pm We will reschedule if there is rain. Families will be able to tour The Heritage Ranch with ten interactive stations and feel what it was like in the early days of Encinitas using all five senses: seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling. Sensory activities play an important role in a child's learning and development. Many museums are hands off, you can look, but can't touch... during our Living History Days you'll experience history anew. Think acorn grinding, laundry washing, woodworking, butter making, etc. *Yes our farm friends will be out to play *Lunch and snacks will be available on site Dressing up in bonnets, hats, or clothes to get messy is strongly encouraged!!!!
