Families are invited to explore The Heritage Ranch through 10 interactive sensory stations, each designed to immerse you in the early days of the San Dieguito region using all five senses: see, hear, taste, touch, and smell history as you’ve never experienced it before!

 

From acorn grinding and butter making to laundry washing, woodworking, and more—our Living History Days offer hands-on activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and connection. Unlike traditional museums, during this experience kids are encouraged to engage, explore, and yes—get a little messy!

• Our friendly farm animals will be out to play!

• Feel free to pack a family picnic, just like in the olden days

• Snacks & drinks available on site

• Dress up encouraged! Bonnets, suspenders, old-timey garb, or clothes that can handle some pioneer play
