Artist bio: Suchita Jhawar is an Encinitas-based artist, creative educator, and founder of Art by Suchi. Her vibrant, expressive work blends storytelling, color, and emotion to create art that feels uplifting, personal, and approachable. Since beginning her exhibition journey in 2021, she has been juried into numerous art shows and has received awards for her original paintings. Alongside her studio practice, Suchita is passionate about building creative community through guided painting experiences, workshops, and collaborative events. She has led paint-and-sip classes, children’s art enrichment programs, fundraising art talks, and community-based creative experiences for both adults and youth. Her teaching style focuses on encouragement, self-expression, and making art accessible to everyone—regardless of experience level. In addition to exhibiting her work, Suchita has illustrated a children’s storybook, completed an artist residency in France in 2023, and expanded her artwork into wearable art scarves inspired by her original paintings. Through collaborations and creative partnerships, she hopes to connect people through art, conversation, and shared creative experiences.
