Story-time with Marshmallow

If you've been to our farm, you've met Marshmallow, perhaps the mellowest chicken of all time. People tell me all the time their kids miss and ask about her...so her and I are ready to travel. You can reserve us to visit your school, homeschool group, birthday party, or wherever someone needs... well, to hold a chicken!! We may show up with other chicken friends or a bunny and definitely stories and crafts.

Price is $95 regardless of the size in your group 1-100, so the larger the class, the more cost effective. Pricing takes into account travel cost, animal transport, and crafts supplies.

Sourdough

Baking sourdough is more than baking, it's science. Students will take a journey from meeting a bubbly and very much ALIVE sourdough starter to a finished loaf of bread. You'll be taught everything you need to know to start baking bread, as well as a variety of other goods, such as bagels, pancakes, and cookies.

Happy to do this with mom groups as well.

Rabbit Care and Meet and Greet

I may be biased, but I have the cutest bunnies around! This class will cover everything about bunny care with lots of time for cuddles.

Chicken Care

This class is geared toward future homesteaders, children or adults. You will learn everything you need to know to raise chickens from chicks to adult... and get ready to hold some!

Intro to Gardening

I shape this class after speaking with you. Perhaps you're an adult looking for garden guidance or a homeschool group looking to spice up the day. I've got years of garden lesson plans in my pocket,

it'll be a day to remember.

Adult consults, $50/hour

Kid groups are $20 per child ($95 minimum)

Home Worm Bin Set-up and Maintenance

This class will get kids (or adults) holding some worms, digging in the dirt and learning everything from the why and the how to keeping worms. We'll even build our own quick and easy bin together.

There's a Garden in your Belly

This class touches on the importance of taking care of the garden in your belly by eating healthy foods and taking care of yourself. Students will learn to make sauerkraut, which holds more probiotics than a pill, and also learn to make and taste fruit kvass.

California History

Need a bit of social studies pizazz for your homeschoolers? This class covers several standards identified in the California third grade curriculum, but can also be tailored to any age group... such as second grade standards: differentiating between long ago and yesterday, map skills, people who make a difference, ancestors, etc. I'm passionate about local history and can shape the class for your student's needs.
