August kicked off with a Mother/Daughter Retreat

This August, we launched our new season of Campfire Sessions with a magical mother–daughter retreat at Bandy Canyon Ranch in Escondido. Over the weekend, mothers and daughters (ages 9–13) enjoyed s'mores under the stars, ice cream sundae bars, visits with animals, pool time, nature and art activities, and soothing sound baths. Together, we participated in three empowering workshops on movement, beauty, and confidence, and gathered for our signature circle time around the fire. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the end of summer and kick off the school year—filled with connection, play, and confidence-building in the most fun and memorable way.

One of her biggest missions in life is having women CELEBRATE their bodies and menstrual cycles from a young age, rather than having them feel like they're too taboo to talk about. Her practice, Being Better, seeks to guide young women connect with, deeply understand, and claim their womb wisdom and honor their bodies for a fully expressed and vibrant life. This was a popular one last year so don't wait to save your spot.

January

Join us on Thursday, January 15th 5-7pm for Empowered Online - a digital wellness event with Claudia Erickson MPH, Co-Executive Director of Global Day of Unplugging.  As we kick off 2026, we know that 95% of Americans know about AI but only 13% feel in control. Meanwhile 72% of teens already use AI tools and the offers to get on board the "AI train" are everywhere we turn. Are we ready for this?

With fake news, crazy viral videos, and pranks all powered by AI, it's getting harder to tell what's real.  Join me for an eye opening discussion covering the latest in AI trends, social media and how to prepare for what’s to come. We’ll talk about how our devices are designed to keep us hooked and ways we can outsmart our smart devices. While most of us will use even more technology in the future, we are at a crossroads and can still choose what we want to embrace and what we want to leave on the side of the road.

March

Join us on Thursday, March 12 from 6-8 PM for a special Campfire Session, Empowered Friendship, all about connection, kindness, and navigating friendships in real life with special guest speaker, Miss Lauren Campbell, a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) practitioner, who works with students in our local public schools. Lauren will guide the girls through group exercises exploring what it means to be in an empowered friendship. Together they'll work through how to handle tricky friend situations and how to love and trust themselves through the process.

At the same time, Natalie of Olivenhain Farms (raising her 3rd teen daughter) and Karen of Wyldflower Wellness (currently navigating two tween daughters) will gather with the moms for an open conversation about how we can support our girls through this challenging and important season of friendships and growing up.

April

On Thursday, April 16 from 6-8 PM, our Campfire Session will focus on financial literacy, giving tweens practical, real-world tools for understanding money in a supportive and engaging setting. Led by a female financial consultant Cari Leamy, this interactive discussion will explore wants versus needs, mindful spending, saving for goals, and simple budgeting skills.

We’ll talk honestly about why it’s so easy to spend money on things we don’t need, how to make thoughtful choices with what we have, and how building smart habits now can create confidence and independence later in life. This session is designed to help kids develop a healthy relationship with money early on, without pressure or shame, just empowering knowledge.

Empowered Finance: Using Money to Live Your Values

Cari has more than 14 years of experience helping women and families make confident financial decisions and build meaningful lives.

Cari believes that money isn’t just about numbers- it’s about aligning your choices with your values and the kind of person you want to be. During this interactive session, she will introduce tweens to healthy money mindsets, thoughtful decision-making, and the importance of using financial choices to support their goals and dreams.

As a Financial Advisor and Financial Divorce Analyst, Cari provides compassionate guidance to help people navigate life changes, plan for the unexpected, and create financial strategies that support what matters most to them. She has learned through her work that everyone faces challenges in life, and understanding how to make informed choices with money can help people move through those challenges with confidence.

Cari is passionate about empowering women and young people with financial knowledge. She has also volunteered teaching financial education to youth through Operation HOPE, helping young people understand how money can be a tool for independence, confidence, and making a positive difference in the world.

In this session, tweens will explore the idea: “Use your money to be YOU.” They’ll learn how financial choices can reflect their values, support their goals, and help them grow into thoughtful, empowered decision-makers.
